2017 in the Books!

As far as races go the year wrapped up with me running probably the worst one of the 230 I have run since turning 60. I won’t go into all the details just a few facts. It was a 9:00 start and because I left home early because of the possibility of Valley Fog I arrived at 7:20. Early even for me! Needless to say nobody else was there. I left to go to a McDonald’s to use the restroom and when I returned still nobody. The race officials showed up at 8:15 to unlock the parking lot. So at least there was going to be an event.

The facts. No bibs. No timing. No places. Course for a 5K was two laps of a 1.2 mile loop. In other words it was basically a “fun run” with nice finishers medals. It was still a run/Race to end another year. It was my 35th race for the year.

I finished the year with 868 miles quite a bit less than I had been running. Hopefully I can get my mileage back up in 2018 but my knee and overall Health will have a lot to say about that.

This is the post where I usually document how many books I’ve read during the year but although I’ve got them all written down in a notebook or on my computer I haven’t finished compiling them in one place yet so that’ll have to come in a future post.
